Rutabaga Fries

I have been on a fish kick lately, and so I’ve been trying to make fun side dishes to balance out the “healthiness” for my husband. I had a huge rutabaga lying around, but that’s got pretty healthy connotations, so I did a little internet research and came across rutabaga fries. I added my own spices and came up with this recipe:

  • 2–3 medium rutabagas
  • olive oil
  • corander
  • garlic powder
  • paprika
  • salt & pepper

Peel rutabagas and slice into strips like fries. Sprinkle entirely with olive oil and spices, and roast on a parchment-covered baking sheet in a 400-degree oven until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
